Oh yeah you need to take off the upper to get them on.

I have run a couple sets....when it comes to VCs...you gotta play some....

These Summit chromes are 3 1/2" tall..had to run a 3/8 spacer with the stock upper..this also cleared the hood with the blanket intact..

here they are mounted..this spacer lets the EGR port clear...

I swapped in these Betty's this year....4" tall...will need the 1/2" spacer to...def more fab work to get em in...the oil fill has to be re-routed..

Whats involved in installing them? Do I have to remove my intake?

I just painted the stockers for now. I Had those cheap-A$$ chromer from Summit and they leaked with the stock gaskets.
