I've been sitting here and thinking about the future and what I'd like in a house when I get to that point, and of course me being the car guy, my mind wanders to the garage and what I'd like in there.
So I was hoping you guys would post up some pictures of your garages so I could get some ideas and also for ****s and giggles. :SNSign:

:OT: But Eric, are there any houses around the Tampa area that are nice and dont cost friggin' $300,000? I have been shopping, but Lord it is depressing. There are places that are PURE ghetto selling for 175K.

I'm not too familar with Tampa, but I know in Clearwater things are better. I dunno if you'd be willing to make the move over to this area, but you'd almost certainly have better luck in Pinellas. My dad knows a couple real estate agents that could pry help you.
You could try posting this question on Tampa Bay Mustangs and see if some of the Tampa guys over there could help you.

Alright...I'll bite....
I built this myself to save ching, I used to do it for a living and carpentry is a hobby...think I have under 20k as you see if, lift, doors, the whole 9 yards...its actually smaller than I'd like depth wise at 24'...my next one is gonna be a metal building as I plan on moving into the boonies some for the room...
The building inspector freaked when he seen the lift, specially in a residential zone...Thats why I never told em I was putting one in...
I use the end bays for storage..
One bay to paint and chit..
One bay to play..
Attic trusses for extra room...blast cabinet is up here..

Awesome garage, rio.
One question, how do you like that rotary lift, and how much did it run you? (you can PM me the price if you want)
My reason for asking is my dad and I built a garage with 10 foot doors/12 foot ceilings over the past year and a half or so, with getting a lift in mind sometime early this summer. There are so many lifts out there, we just don't know which brands are good or not.

That looks great Andy. I hope to have something similar at my house in the future.
Currently, I'm helping my dad build a metal garage. It's 25' x 35'. We are building the 2 ends like the house .... & it will have 12' roll-up doors on each end (plus a side door). We sat the building on a 4' foundation as well. I don't know how tall it is yet .... but the lift we're putting in is like Andy's.
There's a dude on here that has a Mach1, Lightning, etc. I can't remember his name .... but he has a nice garage.

Dan....I researched tons before buying one...Rotary is like the Caddy of lifts and was always suggested...look in most dealerships and Rotary is the brand your most likely to see...I did my own install and its tit...have had nada for issues with it....I pd 2700.00 with truck adapters shipped from the factory...today I think their 3100.00 from the same dealer....Rotary is nice as their much smaller size wise than others i seen...mine's 9000lb capacity and I got the kind you can open the doors with, asymetrical I believe...Prices on these are real good....I think I used Gabbert Supply out of Texas to order/buy it...They dealt with the factory to direct ship to me...
only thing you wanna do is make sure you use good concrete, no Sak-Crete here... , where its bolting down...have ATLEAST 5" or more thick concrete to bolt it down......you dont want the bolts securing it busting out the other side of the slab while drilling the holes...they TQ at 250ft lbs...

Yep. That's where we got ours. The Chevy place where my dad works built a new shop ... so my dad got it out of the old shop for free.

Yea that's no problem about the concrete thickness. My dad did his research on that. Definitely wasn't sak-crete either lol, we had a cement truck come and pour the slab, then a guy finished it for us...the only work that wasn't done by us on the whole project. I'll tell him you definitely recommend Rotary, the other one we were looking at is Eagle (I think that was the name), its the lift that they use on Trucks on Spike TV.
Andy, saying that your garage left me jealous would be a gross understatement. That is like a man's dream right there. I can only hope to have something like that when I get a home.
I do see your leather rear seats in there, are you thinking about selling them? I got a set of front seats lined up but still need rears. Lemme know if you wanna sell em.
