looks like theres more choices out there than I thought, now that I've been looking, since my passenger side insert blew off.

I figure its a good time to customize. as usual I can't make a decision, mostly because all the pictures I can find suck.

so post up some pics!!

spending lots of money on sidescoops and getting them painted is like spending lots of money on brake calipers just for the looks, not really worth the money...

I know, I know. I wouldn't bother except one flew off. I like the saleens, but I'm not a fan of saleen stuff on a non saleen car. of course my wife wants those.

I may just go with the 01-04 style. or just save some cash and buy the one side I need. paints not an issue, since I can do it and the car needs it done bad anyway.

Saleens look frigging badass. I think you'll be ok as long as you keep the badges off your car

Not sure if this vendor is still on eBaymotors, but there is one that sells factory painted body panels, front bumbers, quarters, fenders, etc. I believe they have sidescoops as well, I will hun around for the link and post up here.

Here's a link to their store, they sell factory color painted replacement body parts. They don't have a lot of mustang exterior panels listed, but they do carry them , message them and they will give you a price. Very good prices.

want to paint my car?

normally i would say just pick up a new insert and be done with it. however if youre going to paint the car you might as well upgrade if you really want. **** if youre thinking about any other exterior appearance upgrades you might as well get them now if youre going to paint. it will save you a lot of trouble later as im sure you know.

Thanks for the comments! With only 35k miles my 2001 ain't going anywhere.

I got my Bullitt scoops from the local Ford dealer. They were around 75 a piece. I was able to sell the original scoops on ebay for around $250, so I came out about even with the purchase/paint/prep of the Bullitt scoops. Well worth it in my opinion.

I think I'm pulling the trigger on the saleens. I found a factory set for $80. dont worry I'll stay away from the badges. lol

I like the bullits too, but I plan on keeping my car fairly plain, aas far as hood, wing, and bumpers so I think the saleens may give it just enough flair where as the bullits would just make it real plain jane.

Thanks for the compliment man. As for the louvers, I am having way too much fun annoying people on here to take them off now! Honestly, they were a gift from an old friend and I never had the heart to remove them...kinda got used to them I guess. I am gonna have to do a poll on here w/pics on whether to remove them or not lol...

I sort of like the louver things. I don't think they'd work on another color car though.
