Yeah, I saw that. But some of them are incorrect. For instance, the dome light bulb is a 562 festoon bulb in the sunroof cars (same as hatch)
I have a spare headlight switch. I'm going to pull it apart. My defrost bulb is actually out, so I need to address it anyway. Preferably with LED's as I'm liking how evenly they light up vs the old incandescents

Bulb #67. Underhood light. I believe this changed around 1989 so might be different. Useless light anyway

I'm too lazy or I'd add LED under dash lights to my 90, Have no clue why Ford stopped that in 89
For the headlights have this guy convert your head lights to HID with projectors. I have seen the quality of his work and it is the best I have seen.

Ok. Got to the cluster. Not really happy how it came out. I don't plan on doing much night driving, but I still had to tackle this.
Years ago I got BBK white face gauges. They had horrible night illumination. Thought led would fix that.

They aren't as washed out as the pic shows, but still uneven.
Couple notes.
Had to use original bulbs for turn signal. Putting in LED causes blinker to be slower. No real difference in appearance anyway.
Seat belt LED briefly blinks when door switch is pressed/released
Dimmer only dims led on right side of cluster. Left stay bright
When replacing the headlight/hazard bulbs, get the led color you want it to be. I got white led thinking the lens was green. Nope, as you can see...hazard is white.
Not happy with this. Might have to change something

And in case you are wondering what's in the headlight switch.
Here's what the other side looks like. Technically it's the same bulb, just with the leads pulled into the socket to make the connection, and a green bulb sleeve

I put leds in my rear view mirror interior lights (convertible), my dash, my hvac panel, my plate lights and my head lights and i absolutely love them! The headlights i got from lifetime LED are amazing!

dont put an led bulb in place of the battery light or parking brake light or any of the warning lights. i only put one behind my parking brake and it stays on all the time now. ive heard it does the same in the other locations. in putting leds into the turn signal bulbs it does slow it down. if you were to go completely led all it takes is picking up a turn signal flasher that will work with leds.
Yeah, for the most part I left the warning lights alone. I did change out the high beam and check oil bulb and left the battery and turn signals alone.
For the most part I blame the guage faces. They never lit evenly, so I don't think they will even with LED.
I was gonna mess some more with it, but the reality is this is a car I rarely drive at night...or even drive at all. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a stock 87-89 140moh cluster, but I'll let my OCD about this go and move into something else

Changed mine over last year, they seem to have turned out well. I haven't driven at night yet so I can't give input on that. I still have to swap out the rear cargo/hatch light, as I ran out of bulbs, ordered more, then got lazy lol need to do climate controls as well.
I got them from upr, probably about 6 years ago. The dim spot in the photo is even less obvious in person. I don't know if I got lucky with the overlays or if it's just a matter of cleaning the cluster after removing the factory faces. Not saying you didn't clean yours well, but I'm sure there are plenty who didn't.
Mine are BBK and I think I remember that the issues I had were quote common, especially with the 87-89 cluster because the bulb location for that dim spot in the speedo wasn't really ideal. The OEM faces had some sort of reflective backing that helped distribute the light evenly. These BBK ones didn't have them.
I may look into a new set of faces, but at the same time, I don't drive at night really so why bother?
