My 5.0 has about 120k miles on it. It would tick for the first few seconds on a cold start up before i went and added the GT40Ps and exploder intake. I was an idiot and installed the rocker fulcrums upside down on my cobra 1.7s. I turn the motor over by hand and think i must have sent the lifters to their death. It ticks liek crazy, any rpm, any temp.
I have the 99 explorer block that the GTPs came off of and it has lifters, but i dont know the mileage.
Is there any way to test the lifters in the explorer block for overall health, or should i just get the new FRPP ones?
