light knocking sound???

I was driving around the other night and while parked and at idle, i heard a light knocking sound which i have never heard before... Checked oil, seemed fine, and everything drove normal. I turned the car off and let it sit awhile, then started it up again. Same knocking. Went home, let it idle in the garage, no more knocking . Start it up in the morning, no more knocking? Im still kinda of worried, so i change the oil, and drive it around no knocking. Drive around some more, knocking starts back up? I cant actually pin point the knock, but if i had to guess its coming from the back end of the engine,right beneath the intake??? i have no clue as to what it could be, just hoping, someone might have an idea as to what it may be, also if its serious. thanks.

maby a clutch releese bearing My old 89 Z24 did that for years does it go away when you press the clutch

CLutch in or out, still makes the knocking noise... i can really hear if its knocking while im dirving due to loud exhaust, but i think its there...

Might be just be the start of an exhaust leak. Mine started to make the same noise and it would go away sometimes and then it came back louder and kept getting louder untill I ripped those usless stock headders off and got some new ones just to find out it was just the donut gasket blew in half.

Doesnt really sound like an exhaust leak... ALmost sounds like a marble or something is loose and shaking around

I had one of my Cats go bad and it had a "knocking" sound to it.

IT may be a rocker, i was thinking that. But i cant pinpoint what side it coming from... IT it is a rocker, how bad is it? driveable? thanks..
