Anybody replaced their 99-04 unlighted visors with a lighted version? There's always cheap lighted versions from 96-98 on ebay.. just wondering if it's possible and if they fit the same.

So I'm the only one who's ever thought of doing this?

I haven't thought of it, but would think it might be more suited for a 'vert. I have no reason for illuminated vanity mirrors. What would yours be?

So I don't have to turn the interiors on when my wife wants to check her makeup.. etc. Besides, my '88 has lights and it's a hatchback.. and my friggen '79 dodge pickup had them.. why not a brand new coupe? Shrug.

My '86 vert had them, too. Tell the wife to primp when she gets there.

Well, I want them, regardless of what the reasoning is. Obviously nobody can tell me if you can swap them, so I'll just try it and be a pioneer I guess.

Seriously--
Are you running the wiring up the a pillar or are you going to drop the headliner and tap the circuit for the dome light?

Coupe. I have them on both sides. My 89 bronco only has them on the passenger side.

Depends I guess. I'll probably look through my service manual to see where the verts have their wiring running and just run it that way. I think I'd probably prefer to run it down the a-pillar.. I believe that's where my foxbody goes.

Post the results, mang!
IMO, the headliner drop would be the easiest way--everything in one place.

I've never dropped the headliner of an Sn95.. I thought I read somewhere you have to remove pop rivets or something.. guess I'll keep the options open for now..

My '88LX has them. They get more use than you would think.

My '03 GT doesn't have the lighted mirrors. How did you guys get them on your 99-04's??

I have them on my 2000. They were like a 75 dollar option. I wouldn't have gotten them, but they were on there already. I have never used them.

Just went out to the garage to check and I have them also on both sides. Don't think I would go out of my to add them though. Why not get her a lighted compact that she could take with her in every car so she has it no matter where she is? Would even work in a movie theater.............
