Rear lights do, as do brake lights, but front head and parking lights dont work.

Changed the bulbs in the front headlights to those "Street Glow" H4 bright lights you get at AutoZone or JC, and their 100 watt. Would that have anything to do with it?

All the connections are made, and i cleaned all connections with CRC electric parts cleaner.

Dash lights dont work either, right turn sig does work left dosent. Signal flashers on dash and rear taillamps work, but only right turn sig works on dsh when 4 ways are on, and it blinks very fast.

Dunno if any of this worked before I took car apart last year.

Putting in backup lights tomorrow.

How do I check everthing out? Where should i start first?

I should mention that i took gauge panel out but i hooked up connectors behind dash tight, all the gauges work, just no lights.

Is there a fuse box on this car? didnt see one. 67 Coupe 289 2bbl auto

Yes there is a fuse box. It should be under the dash on the drivers side next to the steering column but I dont think the headlights run of a fuse in the fusebox. I believe they work off a fuseable link at the starter solenoid but if that was bad you would lose taillights too. I would check fuses first then get a volt/ohm meter and start out at the headlight plug. There is three connections on the plug. the center one is ground and the two on the sides are for bright and dim. turn the headlights on and check for power on the side slots. If you have power then you most likely have a bad ground on the headlight harness. you can run a temporary ground wire from the center post on the headlight to a good ground and put the plug back on the headlight and try it then. If you dont have power to the plug and you have checked any fuses then you need to work backwards from the harness plug with your meter until you find the fault. Another possibility is with the brighter bulbs you may need to wire in a relay to carry the volts/amps. these old harnesses werent made to carry that kind of power. As for the blinker problem i'd bet on a blown bulb or two. The fast flashing is classic burned out bulb indication because the flasher only has two run the two rear bulbs. More bulbs = slower flasher and less bulbs = faster flashers. Hope this helps

Something I foergot to mention. Ive found that a problem like this 9 times out of ten is a problem with the ground.

Right on the money! My brother found a bad ground at the switch- wire abortion under my dash from last owner- All lights work now, and yes bad bulbs in back. Just hope those 100 watt bulbs dont melt my el cheapo plastic headlights.
