So my godfather gave me some LED lights from his company Zaplights. I put them on under each side of the dash, but i don't know where i should tap into for the power. The power leads are right near the fuse box and i would like to keep it around there so i wont have to do so much work. let me know if you guys have any suggestions

i would put them on a switch unless you want them on all the time... just use a test light or multimeter to find a blank KEY ON hot fuse.... or buy a fuse tap and tap into the power window fuse or something... LEDs draw very little amperage, so i dont think youll be hurting anything by tapping into a fuse already in use...

Yeah that's what i was thinking of doing. It already has an on, off switch built into it so im set.

Thanks,

I'd also add a switch or tap them on an interior light so that you can dim them via the dimmer.

I was also wondering which wire controlled the dimmer?

I tapped my radar detector into the yellow blinker box. Its hot when the car is on and Ive had no problems in the past year or so it has been hooked up. I can go check and see what color the wire is if you want. Post up some pics when its done

Thanks for all the advice. I was finally able to get it all done. I tapped into the cigarette lighter which is a 12v source which would supply more then enough power. The lights look great at night. I have them set on green so it matches the rest of the interior lights. I will post up some pictures asap.
