Lincoln MarkVIII engine

There's an add for a MarkVIII engine + tranny with 41k on'm for $500 .. I dont know these engines, but have heard some good things, and it sounds like a pretty good price.. would it drop in a 69 stang okay you think?
Hows the price sound to you guys?

good engine same as the mustang engine.

Yes it does come with forged pistons if it is pre 93' and later than 87'.

All the same specs, e7 heads, trw pistons, cam, etc.

are you getting your VII's and VIII's mixed up?
The VIII was the first to get Ford's DOHC 4.6 V8.
Mark VII, of course had the 5.0.

The Lincoln Mark 8 came out in 1993.. It uses the 4.6 cast iron block with the 4 valve heads.. the engine responds well to mod 4 valve mods.. the transmissions are a little on the weak side for the engine.. if the tranny is upgraded with a spring kit and a cooling update, they can live behind the 4.6.. I believe the HP was 280 for the first versions that came out in 1993.. a few years later they upped the power slightly.
