Hey guys,
I am in need of a replcement liscence plate bulb for my 65 vert. The shop manual calls for a 1155 bulb, it appears this bulb is no longer available. I have checked all the local parts stores as well as the many mustang vendors on the Net. I am in desperate need as the cops here in south Ga. are real sticklers for this and it is the first thing they for to pull you over. Does anyone know if their may be a suitable substitute?

Ron

Strange, I thought the license lamp was a #97.

The bulb I have in their and that had been working is a #1155, I did however find at NPD they list a #97 for the 65 , wonder if this may be a replacement.

I bet someone put the wrong bulb in it at one time. Isn't the 97 bulb at most auto parts stores.

According to the listings in the Glazier Nolan catalog, the #97 is the original item, which they still have.

The 1155 is still available, and I'll bet I have a bunch in the garage somewhere.

But thats not why I'm posting.

I looked up the 1155 base and ran it through a Google Image Search.

I had no idea the BA15S BASE has that number of bulbs fit in them, now even in LED.
