I had a friend run mine through a media blaster. I don't want a polished finish, but don't want it having that nasty corroded look right away either. Is there some sort of clear coat that can be put on stuff like that to protect it at least for a while¿
There's lots of stuff out there. Try eastwoodco.com for sealers. I wouldn't put it on polished parts as I've had it yellow on me, but I have no experience with it on non-polished parts. Hope for the best, I guess.
