Little Headlight Help

Would any of you guys care to lend me a stock headlight and corner (preferibly from the same side?

I'm starting a little project that I need some exact dimensions of the headlights and side markers for. I'd use my own lights, but the stang is my daily driver, so it'd be a huge pain in order to put my lights back in every time I needed to drive somewhere. I'll pay for shipping both ways and would return them in the exact condition that they came to me in.

Mods--if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move it, I just wasn't too sure since I wasn't really out to buy anything.

i got headlights for you will clears work??? do you need just the lens or the whole housing???

I need the whole shebang. It doesn't matter if it is clear, diamond, smoked, green, orange, or red, just as long as I can get accurate dimensions from it (ie: its not shattered). I'm actually designing and making my own one piece headlight housing out of carbon fiber or fiberglass (I haven't decided yet) for a HID retrofit. I just need any old headlight AND corner to get the dimensions off of for my 3-D computer model.

I'll be sure to keep you guys up to date. If I don't run in to any problems (yeah, right!) I hope to have them done in a month or so. The thing that is probably going to be the biggest problem is finding someone to make the custom lenses. You guys have any ideas about where I could go?

You can try friendly plastic for a first run to see how it looks... its a plastic polymer that melts down in just boiling water and remains relatively cool to the touch.... This was what i was going to use to get the shape of the lens you can just spread it over the lens with your hands.... then i was going to glass the inside of it to get the curve. sand down the glass and drill it out to mount the hella 90's


Its pretty fun ****... and i can get it in my chem lab...

Thats pretty cool stuff, I may have to look into it. I don't know if it'll hold up to anything that I have planned though.
