so i have been looking for this piece for my car for a while. i havent been able to find one new anywhere. mine is buldged out a little.(can kinda see it in my sig pic.) . i finally found a guy at my central virginia mustang club meeting that converted the ground effects on his 87 t-top from a gt to lx. and he said he'd give me his old one. here she is. just gotta get it painted up and bodywork is done. woot.

anyone know what color that is? Dark Grey Metallic? the guys car that this came off of looked great. also i put on my weatherstripping on the driver side today, (put the passenger on a while ago) becasue performance put in my door pins, hinges, and bushings in yesterday. now doors shut nicely.

next up i gotta take my door pannels off, put on new door handles, replace passenger door lock actuator, tighten the window tracks, and grease them maybe, put my new door pannel pins in the passenger pannel, and re assemble. then take the seats center console out, and install my carpet and rear seats back in. after that get under it, engine flush it, replace fuel filter ive had sittin around for a while, sand the rust off my body around my gas tank and spray with rust resistant paint.

i got my work cut out for me.

what all did you do to your doors/weatherstripping. did it make that big of a difference. hell, your car looks killer right now, but it'd look insane with some sliver or anthricite 93 cobras!

yeah im torn between pony's and cobra's. i cant decide.

i had the hinge's, bushings, and the pins to hold them in replaced on the driver door, both hinges. made it sit more level. i had a weatherstripping kit for both doors.

it isnt hard to replace the weatherstripping, just make sure you can peel back as much interior stuff as possible, take the a-piller thing and loosen that, loosen the pannels in the back, take the kick plate up, ect. then get it started at the bottom corner, and work it around. it makes my doors allot harder to close, but it doesnt leak. if the factory weatherstripping leaks it gets in the trim between the door and headliner and rests there, until it runs down your a-pillar trim and then it dumps it out on your door, runs down your speaker and to the floor.

hope i helped.
