local cobra for sale

hey guys, some guy is selling his 97 cobra with 200k miles on it for $6200. i had an interest in it till i found out it had that many miles on it. he is also selling it on auto trader. i saw him on the base a few times with it. do you think it is still good to go? the blue book says its worth over $7k with the miles.

i am looking for a 96 and up cobra and i thought i hit jackpot with that one, but then i found out it had that many miles and i was a little bummed. oh well. i am trying to get my truck sold so i can get a downpayment put on one.

While 200k miles is a lot of miles. If the car is well taken care of. It should be a reasonably good engine even with those miles on it. That being said I have a bias for the motor. Since I own one, but will be selling it when I can get an 05 gt.

It's on base? What color is it? I probably know who it is. Not red is it? Depends on what you plan on doing with the car. If you plan on buying a new motor/tranny/rearend/suspension, like I do for my cobra.. then by all means..

By the way, I should be back home in about 2 weeks so I'm sure I'll be seeing you around then.. you got any plans on going to mustang roundup? I have about 4-5 guys from base that plan on rolling up there together, or at least hooking up with the other local guys to caravan up.

the 97 cobra for sale is white and its stock with nitto tires on all 4 rims. the interior is beige.

Silver huh? So you gettin ready to go to March soon? Lucky bastards.. March ARB is like 45 min from my home.. I hope I can either get on that trip or get sent back out here when they do the runway closure.

Hmm the only white cobra on base I remember is a vert.. dont know if thats the one or not. Don't know that guy anyway, we just always wave to eachother when we pass.

Well, time's counting down.. 7 days left till I get to come home and play with all the new toys for my car

the 97 is a hard top thats for sale. ill try and post the ad up on here if i find it.

BTW i am not going to march, ill be over at Ft lewis. im not fully trained to go anywhere yet and i just arrived here LOL!

Hey that was my car it was really nice and fast to it only had nittos on the back though. The guy who owned it before me worked for microsoft he commuted a butt load of miles to work but the motor was very strong sorry you guys missed out should have email me it was a sweet deal now some 16 yr old jackass has it now oh well. Mustangs last a long time if taken care of I have a 95 gt vert that has 215000 on it and still run strong. Now Im waiting on my new cobra to come in cant wait but its going to be delivered while Im in march shiity so I have to wait to drive it.

There is another person in Tacoma who has not advertised yet but is selling his 97 Cobra color is white well maintained only 72,000 miles I think he wants between $11 to $12,000.00 for it

theres people all over the country selling cobra on ebay and if you get a dealer somtime you can get the shipping free. Thats where I found both of my cobras I only paid 5 for my first one on ebay it had 196000 miles though but was a great car. I hope to have my new or new to me cobra before I have to go to march but I dont think thats going to work out. But oh well I should be back to run it once or twice before its all over with
