I searched the forums for "exhaust leak" and didn't find anything. Does anybody have a good way to located an exhaust leak, besides taking to a shop???

Thanks again.

Put trans fuild down the intake not a lot. Just like three cap fulls. Smoke will will came out where the exhaust leak is. After you find the exhaust leak let the car run until the smoke clears up. I don't know how that will work on a EFI car but we do that to are racecars to find exhaust leaks.

So I found a leak right on the muffler. Is there a good temp fix while I wait to buy some after market catbacks?????? It needs to be pretty simple since I have limited tools at my disposal.

Thanks!

clean off the surface around the leak, and put some coldweld on there (its like an epoxy, but will fill holes in metal)

Most of you are probably already aware of this, but there is a putty/fiberglass mesh package (2.99 at kragen) you can buy to seal up small holes on your exhaust system. It is made for higher temperatures so it should last until you replace the exhuast....FYI...
