Location of convertible wiring in hardtop?

I know some of you guys with hardtops found the wiring harness for the convertible in the hardtop models. Then used the circuit to power gauges. My question is where do I look for it?

I was under the dash on the drivers side and I saw an un-used connector by the kick panel. Is that it?

The convertible top switch replaces your coin holder in the center console. The harness will be under there.

Is there any slack to it? I want to pull it back up into the dash.

Sorry, I do not know that one. I have a vert and mine has not been altered.

Thought i would add that the connector is about parallel with the e-brake. It's secured in a little notch molded into the center console. The is about 5 inches of slack.
