Lojack for classic cars? Costs/is it possible/etc?

You might look into this one, I cannot remember the car mag that did a article, maybe mustang mnthly but they tested it and all did real well, seems like a good one, and u could put it in vehicle. http://gps-snitch.com/

We will definitely put Lojak on our 65. Along with other protective devices. After a couple hundred of hours and lots of 30K what is another to protect 1K totry to protect it. A fellow at work has it on his vehicle, he had to move his vehicle one day and didn't have his fob with him. within 10 minutes both his pager and his cell phone ring and was notified his car had just been moved.

I'm aware they stick some sort of chip on the car, but I'm not sure if it requires a modern computer controlled engine or if you just wire up a chip somewhere on the car that is tracked via gps or something. Anyone with knowledge on the subject... chime in

I have a great device on my car that I can track location online with maps and photos, disable/enable starter in case it gets stolen, lock and unlock doors from my phone or pc and it costs less than Lojack. I know where my car is at all times and can tell the police where to find it if it's stolen. I got it from GPSSmartPro.com.

This device also calls you if it is taken out of a boundary area you set or is driven too fast if someone else is driving it. Phone you, beep you, text msg you, and emails you if you set it up that way. You set all parameters and it has lots of bells and whistles. Actually quite fun to have and use and is cheaper than Lojack and does soooo much more for the money. You can have it with no monthly monitoring fees as simple anti-theft device or small monthly fees to receive alerts. You can also have delayed activation to activate whenever you want for one time fee of about $40 good for a month if stolen.

Oh yeah! And it works everywhere! Lojack only works in 25 states and often experiences blocked signals from receiving by mountains, etc. This is Millennium Plus and works via satellite so is in all states anywhere with no interference (actually works in whole North American Continent.) I have Lo Jack on both classics and would do it again even though my cars have never been stolen.

I read through most of the responses, but I didnt see anything posted regarding only certain counties have the ability to track via low jack.

I know that on my truck, I have lojack installed. When viewing, I believe, it was the loJack website, only metropolitan counties around Atlanta supported Lojack. (Which is good because that is where I live.) However, you may want to check to be sure that your county supports Lojack.
