I wanna know what the inspection guy said when he stuck his mirror under there. After he called the EPA and rescued a family of furry woodland creatures.

Actually, I dont even think they noticed. The grease kinda blackened from road dirt and flattened out completely to match the contours of the floorpan so it kinda just looks like the underside is a little dirty.

Even now, months later, that stuff is sticking fast and its all pretty much still down there, thick as ever. I've replaced my pipes down there at least 6 times between welding, rewelding, rerewelding the catpipe and it's not messy at all if it's up on ramps. I wouldnt really want to do a tranny swap right now but working on the exhaust is just fine.

Allright guys: here's a pictorial update!

You will also see that catalytic converters dont like to be primed or painted too!

See? It's a nice dark smooth texture down there....not too much dirt. In places it looks like it wore off but trust me, if you were to poke your finger at the subframe rail, it's still quite greasy.

Enjoy! :nice::nice:

That looks exactly how i pictured the bottom of a Fox would look if you drove it 100mph through a field of cow poop.
