i was wondering if there was any difference between long tube headers made for a cobra vs long tube headers made for a gt. In other words, would headers made for a cobra fit a gt ? probably a stupid question huh ?

also i was wondering, how much hp gain am i looking at with ceramic coated long tubes vs hts coated long tubes on a stock 99 gt.

i was planning on doing long tubes with matching mid pipe and 3.73's.

thank you very much for your help.

Cobra headers will not fit a GT. Geometry is different. Also, the difference in power between ceramic and non-ceramic coated headers will be negligible.

theres a difference in power between coated and non-coated? thats weird? why is that? is the ceramic coated like smoother so it flows better?

the ceramic coating is more to keep temp down. you will not notice big HP gains from it on a mild car but it does make a difference on blown and turbo cars.

It keeps the heat inside the header, which in theory will keep exhaust speeds higher. It's more for looks and longevity than power. It also keeps underhood temperature down and helps emissions if you've got cats.
