Im at a friends and hes getting ready to order some longtubes for his 02 v6 mustang. if he orders some longtubes and offroad h pipe does he need to get a special h-pipe for the longtubes? thanks
you need to get a shorty h-pipe, because a regular length one will reach all the way to the factory header location. look on the mac website, since they are the only people who make LT's for the v6. you shouldnt have any clearance problems with the tranny, the only place you might is with the k member and the floor pan. there is a writeup on the install at supersixmotorsports.com
I have MAC LT's on the car with no fitmet issues. Kmember or floor pan.
The only thing is that you will need to unbolt the steering arm (one bolt) to get them in on the driverside.
Get new gaskets from ford (less than 20 bucks) and suggest putting some PB Blaster on the EGR tube a coupld days before to aid in getting it off the passengerside on the stock headers!
