NO longtubes are not legal in NJ or any other state that I know of. I've passed inspection with shorty's a couple of times now. With bassani X with cats and borla catback.
those were the good days, my friend used to work at the inspection station and would sell em for 100, but now he is a prison gaurd so no more hook ups.
Bassani mid-length headers and their X-pipe with cats is supposed to be 50 state legal.MMFF did a test and got 17.3 hp with 17.4 ft lbs of torque on a stock 02 GT.The test was for a full Bassani exhaust however.
I didn't realize that the mids for Bassani were 50 state legal. Thats good to know if its true...that may be my option whenever I get spare money again.
