So when I pull my wheel last week to determine backspacing for the new wheel order, I find this:

I relocated the oil filter to the front frame rail. This happened since I've been driving it, (700 miles or so) This would've been nice to "discover" after it had ruptured somewhere between here and North Carolina next weekend.

I don't know what possessed me to relocate the damn thing in the first place. (Actually, I know exactly why I did it) I was concerned that the oil filter was too close to the #5 header tube and would get hot.

I bought some braided line to replace the rubber hose, but I'm thinking it's probably better to have the oil filter a little hotter, than to have no oil at all.

the relocation is probably still a good idea, once you route the hoses a different way. glad you found it when you did.

Similar thing happened to me, only with braided brakelines and I found out the hard way while approaching a toll boot on the highway

Ah, don't you just LOVE it when something has clearence issues after you sit there and think "There's no way in hell that will rub". I have been in the same position as you when I got done building mine. Except mine was the wiring harness, and a brake line. Troubleshooting sucks, especially after you think you've got everything fixed. Glad you found it though!
