Went to the gas station this morning to fill up, and while I was messing with the pump I heard a loud grumble that I thought was a motorcycle at first. Imagine my surprise when I turned around to see...

A 1967 Shelby Cobra 427. Man that thing was awesome, and it had such a nice rumble to it. You'll have to forgive the image quality, all I had was my iPhone.

Some, if they are the real thing and not a kit car, can go for more than a million.

I see 2 kit Cobras every time I go to work... They are amazing cars!

(Except one of them has an ENORMOUS blower on it & isn't street legal hehe )

If real, try a lot closer to 5 million. Carol Shelby was on tv a while back and it seems like he said only 9 were ever made.

The only one that went for 5 million was Carrolls personal one and it was a 66 super snake with the twin Paxton superchargers. That was the competition model and they made 19 of them. The regular street 427 they made almost 300.

I think that one there is a replica though. The hoop, exhaust and side vents are wrong plus I think they had clear front turn signals

Looks like a superformance replica. I could be wrong, as I can't see the back too well to tell if it's a FFR.

I don't think it's a FFR, the rollbar looks a little too short and thin. I do think it's a replica though. Most people get sick of hearing "if it's real" so they just say yes. I would.

Relax guys, it's a replica. You can tell from the AN fittings for the oil cooler. Not that that matters for performance, the replicas are faster than the originals. But I have seen originals go for $500,000. The MOST I have ever seen was $1,000,000 and it was an all original stainless steel body. There were thousands of Cobras produced in the 60's by the way.

But only 300 -/+ were 427 cars. A budy of mine back home has a regular non supercharged 67 427 that his father bought brand new. I dont think it came with them but it does now have the same fittings on the oil cooler. He also has the 3-speed auto sitting in the garrage because he slapped a TKO600 in the car. Even though they are rare people still change stuff on them


Oh yeah, he has a replica too. The replica has a 347 with a built 5-speed (not sure which one) and the replica stomps all over the original. Stops better, corners better and can sit in traffic all day without over heating
