I know i was getting kinda offended when you guys were ripping on the last car i posted. but im soo glad that i check this one out... its like 200,876798 x better.

88GT
Florida car (this guy shipped it)
65,000 original miles
T-TOPS! (MY DREAM)
Complete and clean sex red interior minus working Ashtray.
Like no rust
new tires!!
Loud and powerful (much more than the other car)
Handling is amazing
No rattles!
only 500 more on asking price than the other car, but it seems this guy will bend more.

Please tell me this one is ok.. that rusty thing on the bottom is the only rust i could find on the entire car.

Asking Price is 6k but im sure he would take 5k no studder.
Funny guy.. i could drive with him all day lol.

white... i think it was painted white though.. because its black under the hood if you look close.

The guy was very honest, pointed you every chip lol. But the florida people must have painted it.

interior is perfect no stains... just .. red.

he also wanted to point out that there is no rot at all in the hatch. Is that a common problem?

Rust on the hatch is very common on these cars. It looks nice, just gotta wonder why it was repainted? Can you drive stick, or just not interested? For 5k I would most like go for that car, it looks clean and pretty well taken care of. Get some subframes on that car though!

This looks 1000X better than the last car. I'd talk him down to 5K or lower. Looks pretty damn clean.

actully the rear window it aftermarket (no defrost) so maybe the hatch is new..

i dont want to drive in the winter anyway ( sunny weekends only)

another thing is that Night Move (or something along the line) is eatched in the windshield. Its actully really cool, arabian style curvy font and horses on the side. real professionally done. Sounds stupid but it looks tight.

florida people are weird... i dont know...

It's definitely a repaint - just look at the half-painted hinges on the hood. I'm just wondering if the color change/repaint and new rear hatch are all simply because of fixing rust issues and/or aesthetics, or if the car was involved in some kind of collision(s). Might wanna CarFax it to see if anything pops up.

Other than that ... yeah, I'd hump it.

I'm pretty sure a lot of southern cars did not come with rear defrost. The '89 GT I bought in FL didn't.

Rear defrost was a RARE option on foxes in the south. That's for sure. So I'm not surprised that it doesn't have one.

Now, as a T-Top owner, I can tell you some things to check. Pop the glass out and look at the felt bead that runs along the edge of the black trim. If its in good shape and you can't see any red rubber peeking through the felt then this has either A) Been just replaced or B) Been VERY well kept. Another thing to check is the plastic trim at the 4 corners where the T-Tops lock in, see if they are cracked at all. Those are GOING to have to be replaced eventually, but this will give you an idea as to how closely the details were watched. Of course, examine the weatherstripping that is attached to the T-Top glass itself. This is a VERY common leak point and if he hasn't replaced those since 88, they WILL leak.

The paint job does kinda bother me. Why a completely different color? You did say the door jambs and gutters around the hatch are white as well? Power er-tang?

While I can't tell you I like the Porno Red interior, if its clean, thats good. And as someone else said, having the convertible style mirrors is REALLY rare on a T-Top car.

5k sounds fair. Snag it up while you can.

/did the language filter get tighted?
