Looked under car today and.....

I looked under my car today while changing my oil and I was shocked to find out that the right side of my X-pipe was mashed in about and inch to an inch and a half. The pipe was still probably 60% open and it was pressed right up against the transmition. I don't know how long I've been driving the car like this, maybe 2k but I need to know if this would have caused any damage to my motor. It runs fine, idles good, and sounds normal.

I'll be getting it fixed as soon as money allows, someone please tell me this can't cause damage.

It should not harm the engine, just restrict the exhaust flow some. Swap it out when you can.

You probably hit a rock or something.

I hit one the other day but don't think I flug it up, I did not hear a bang so I think I just ran it over with the front tire and never threw it up in the air which is good. I never even looked for damage but if no thud I should be fine.
