Looking at 03-04 Cobras...

Ok I'm really looking into buying this so please give me so helpful info...

04 Cobra

Is it a good deal? How much could I drop the price to?
Can anyone please carfax it for me (Because when i put the VIN in the carfax.com it says theres like 13 records or something)

Also found another good deal here:
03 Cobra

By the way both dealerships sell very high end vehicles so I think both cobras should be very clean and have good carfax!
Thanks Alot Stangnet! :nice:

Both of those cars are a little high in price in my opinion. Hell, you should have bought mine when I had it for sale... at least it had a pedigree and history that could have been researched and validated via this forum so you knew EXACTLY what you were getting. Would have been cheaper too! With either of these you have no idea whether they were modified in any way and then returned to stock for re-sale so buyer beware.

Try looking here for more 03/04 Cobra's: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=254

You'll have to create an account before you can look at all the ads. Plenty of Terminators for sale there though.

You are aware the Terminator is death trap aren't you? Sure you can afford the insurance.

U.M.

you also have to remember that this is california...where everything is alot more expensive than anywhere else...these were actually the cheapest cobras from me for a 500 mile radius...

like i said the cars are in some really nice high end car dealerships so they might have been some rich guys weekend ride...

also I cant look for private party because I wanna go through a dealership to get a loan and trade my car in

Ok, so it is 3in across. Hmmmm.....I would say thats not stock. I wonder how much hp I am pushing out then with full exhaust and that pully.
You could be running a 2.93 or a 3.10. You would need to make a more precise measurement to be absolutely sure. If I were you though I would be more concerned about whether the car has a proper tune in it so that the smaller pulley is not causing the engine to run lean. It's very easy to burn one of these motors up by letting it go lean at high RPM's, even if it's only for a few seconds.

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I were you until I got a dyno performed with wide band A/F monitoring.

Absolutely agree.

very bad move.

one, you will pay more for a cobra at a dealership, and you wont know the true history (alot can be known by meeting the previous owner). im very against buying previously modded vehicles (especially cobras) but meeting the previous owner made me feel good the first time i got my 03 cobra. not to mention now that i re-purchased it (sold it a while back) ive known the guy i sold it to / bought it from for a bit now.

two, you will be adding negative equity to a car thats worth less than what youre getting the loan for, IE its like digging a hole, throwing the shovel out, and using your hands to dig further.

IMO sell your car first. it doesnt matter if you have a loan for it, you can make the other party get a loan to pay off yours, and the banks take care of the deal. its really easy actually.

then get a bank loan for whatever cobra you wish to buy. if you go through your bank you will probably get a better interest rate (especially if you do direct withdraw).

Ive sold three cars that had loans on them, and ive purchased three from private parties by getting bank loans. just walk into the bank or credit union, ask to get approved for such and such car.
