looking at a 99 cobra, need opinions

the car looks like its in good shape the only thing is that it has 111,000 miles on it. their asking 11,980,whats it worth with that many miles? i used to work for the dealership thats selling the car so i know the people pretty well that i would be dealing with. i was thinking around 9,000 or 10,000 i bought my 97 from them for 9000 with 58,000 mi, i wish i would have kept that one.

Seems pretty high to me. Go to www.edmunds.com and research used car prices. Seems like $8,000 - $9,000 is probably closer to where it should be priced, depending on the condition.

With that many miles, you should be able to get that price a lot lower.

I have a 99 with 85k miles and no 99 or 01 is worth less then $10k unless the thing is busted up.

I have a 99 Cobra with 130K trouble-free miles. I drive it from VA to MD every week since 2001. So I naturally think the miles are OK, but I'd negotiate on the price, particularly from a dealer you used to work for and know the people...
