A friend of mine told me about a Black 93 lightning at a local dealer last week so I took a ride over there to take a look at it seeing as I have always wanted one. The truck was inside the garage and they started cleaning it up(only have had if for 3 days or so). So I started looking it over, the truck is in real good shape with no rot or anything like that. Its bone stock with 69,000 miles on it. The only flaws are, the front valance has a crack in it, the front bumper has some rock chips, and on 1 corner of the rear tube bumper there is a spot of rust where it looks like the paint has chipped off somehow. Never been repainted that I can tell and no accidents(will run a carfax). However like I said before I was looking at a black truck in garage which wasent to bright, so Iam going to look at the truck on monday and test drive it. They are asking $7900 and said it they can work with the price. Now I checked around and it seems to me that this truck in a overall GOOD condition is worth right around what they are asking.
Basicly what my plan is to have my mustang, my 1994 f-150, and the lightning. Drive the mustang/lightning in the spring,summer,fall and drive the 94 F-150 in the winter. I called about insurance and last year for 6 months my car and 94 F-150 was $1400, if I added on the Lightning my insurance has gone down so much from last year it would be less then what I was paying at $1350! At first it was hard to convince my father but he is giving in now that he see's how much a 03 or so F250 would end up costing me(about $450 a month just for the truck payment).
So what do you guys think about the whole ordeal?
