Agreed. For every flashier car that some one likes there is almost always some one who does not. To each his own.

I would like to point out that this post was not asking if any of you liked it or not.
In fact, the whole point of this post was to try and find other options.
For those of you who posted web links and pics so far to help in that end, I thank you.

the styling now seems to be less=more.

Those that don't like "more" always seem to say that

Actually, the majority of show Mustangs I have seen have a similar engine bay dress up look to what I have. I like some of it but again the whole point of this thread was to try and find other options to things like the looms. Seems kind of silly to me to keep having people tell me to get rid of the looms when in fact that is what I am trying to do.
If I could have less posts on "get rid of the looms" and more posts showing other options and links to where those pieces can be found would be greatly appreciated.

Before you say anything about the blue loom in my pic, It was all I had left in the garage after ricing out my wifes spare car (sunfire) and I had to use it to protect the clutch cable for the longtubes and my fps vacume line that ran under the intake.

The only thing I will say about your wire looms is to point out the fact that you did try them. You did install them on your engine. I have also tried them and like you I have decided that I do not like them and so now I am looking for other alternatives.

By the way sleeve over braided lines dont look good when thrown on lines that don need them. Kinda cheesy.

OK lets be honest here. NO hose really needs braided lines. The whole reason for braided lines is to dress up your engine bay. Basically for show. So to say some of mine look cheesy because they are "thrown" on some lines that don't need them seems, to me anyway, to be a rather silly comment.

I would list my list of cars too but whats the point. This is my 10th mustang and have been doing it since 1990, I'm only 31 so you got a head start.

I was not trying to brag about how many cars and what models I have owned over the years but was merely pointing out that the engine dress up pieces and techniques used today are in many cases not that much different than from years back. Obviously the models, types and styles of cars have changed over the years which has been and always will be the case.

Your engine bay is clean as a whistle. I wouldn't change much. Lose the colored wire loom. Buy a quality chrome CAI kit. That will clean things up nice.

i agree with this. thats why they make all those different parts so that you can make your car how YOU want it. it's nice to ask people's opinions because you can get some good feedback or ideas, or learn something new. of course, some people can take criticism too personal and some people get on the offensive when giving criticism, so i try to keep an open mind when it comes to cars...both domestic and imports (obviously, i am partial to stangs being on this site and owning one. lol). like, if i see a car that i personally don't care for aesthetically, i can however, recognize the talent of the owner if he has produced quality work in his vehicle.

as far as "what's in" everything changes with the times...remember when super bright multi colored cars with tweed interiors were cool? man, i havn't seen a pro street car in forever...

This is true. This is something that 99% of noobs do not know how to do. I guarantee you there will be atleast 3 of the following threads pop up in the next week or so:

"Whats gears should I run?"

"Are long tubes worth it?"

"What should be my next mod?"

"Best bolt on's for my 96-04 GT?"
