As far as your deadline -- you can get just about anything done under certain constraints. High quality, low cost and high speed - pick any TWO. So if you want high quality done very quickly -- it's going to cost you, big time. You can get high quality with low cost -- but it's gonna take a long time. And you can get something done quickly at low cost -- but the quality is gonna suck.

And Rick has a sterling reputation on the boards....

yes I'm looking for high quality. The cost isn't too much of an issue. Time is the most important issue now. How long does it usually take?

What type of motor are you getting, and approximately how long is it taking?

I replied to your PM with some details. My motor is taking longer than it needs to becaue I've been dragging my feet in making decisions. Get with Rick about time tables for your particular build.

Rick: Put an envelope in the mail this morning. Should be to you this week.

exactly how much is a buttload of money...I mean, I stuck $5 up there once (
), so I'd assume that's pretty close?

You can also checkout Rebman Racing http://www.rebmanracing.com 717-393-3560 in Lancaster, PA & see what his schedule looks like. Good Quality, specializes in mustangs & he stands by his work. I think his 05 was just in last month's MM&FF. Came in second in the fastest '05 shootout.

They're not just sitting there twiddling their thumbs waiting for the next customer to show up. It's the end of the winter -- everyone who's building new motors for the upcoming season is working with their builders to get those pieces - like right now. They've got work 'in the pipeline' that has to be done before the next new order comes up in the queue.

Kind of like rolling into the Post Office 2 days before Christmas and asking if you can get the package there tomorrow. Not so much.

Why is your deadline so tight? What won't keep?

sounds good. I'll give them a shout also. I haven't heard back from RNH yet. Time is running out. would it be better to rush order a crate motor and have someone install it in a day or two? what company is good? what should I get?

Rush a stroker motor??!? Ouch sounds like a recipie for disaster. Either wait and do it right or don't do it at all.

Wait for Rick. He built mine and it took some time but worth the wait. 2 weeks ain't happening bro

Yeah, give Rebman's a call. I just left his shop & told him you might call. He said that he has a 347 already built at the shop that he can sell ya or he can build you one if you want.

I just resent you an e-mail with my phone number "It basically said please give me a call 717-343-2108 so I can get a little more info about your combo". I can tell you I do not have one on the floor, I build everyone custom for the application so they use different parts and tolerances.

I have a buddy getting rid of a built 342 on a Sportsman block, low miles, good shape other wise I am 4-6 weeks minimum.

Mike is right this time of the year is hectic, I personally have orders for 10 motors currently but due to waiting on some DART blocks and parts I may be able to get you something quicker, really depends on what you are looking for.
