I run Flows also, 40's and like em. I've heard Magna's on GT's and those sound good too.

I personally am not a HUGE fan of the flows on the sixer. I loved the stock GT exhaust on my sixer cause it made it have a rumble and in NO WAY was it ricey sounding. I thought it sounded good and I got SEVERAL compliments on them.

I freakin love my flowmaster series 40's. I had my exhaust shop do a custom job and make me a true dual exhaust system for my 01 v6. I get compliments all the time, sounds better than a GT.

if you want to spend about 270 then do what i did. get mac long tube headers and go to the auto parts store and get 2 20" peices of 2.5" tube and then 2 2.5" - 2" reducers and stick just that on. you will definatley hear it and so will everyone else. and it sounds like a a race built 351 in a dirt track car. the 2.5" gives the flow for top end and the reducers at the end give back pressure for torque but dont affect top much. you'll have sound, and power from 2,000 to redline.

No cats and mufflers? More like it will sound like my lawn mower or a dumptruck. FTMFL!

I have Flowmasters on my 5.0 Capri and I really like them. Not sure how they'd sound on a V6 though.

40 series flows on a v6 with true duals or get an aftermarket H-pipe.If you go offroad H (no cats) then it will be a lot louder. It will also smell more and may violate your local emissions laws.Or you could gut the cats in case cops look under to check. It would still be louder like an offroad pipe. But gutting them doesn't get rid of the Y-pipe,which IMO makes the V6 sound like *****.Whatever you get,it's best to delete the Y-pipe for sound purposes. And always use mufflers (your choice) otherwise it's way too loud and raspy.Get dumps on the mufflers if you want more more rumble but with more interior noise.

i just put straight pipes on today while leaving 2 of the cats on. It sounds great up to 2800 rpms then it gets raspy but its not obnoxious. i like the sound. Everyone thinks its a forced induction Built V6. you will turn heads and get compliments

I'm guessing you cut the Y-pipe before the second set of cats, leaving the ones up front near the headers. Can you hear the exhaust valve noise with the rear cats gone? Curious if the front cats muffle out that noise. That's one thing I like about getting an OR pipe.It deletes the cats and you can hear all that extra valve noise (high pitched clicking and crackling).I blew out my cats (purposely by backfiring it..haha) and IMO it sounds much better and louder. But the Y-pipe still kills the exhaust sound quality and and sort of still has that crappy stock V6 tone to it.

And yeah,I did blow out my cats the way I said.I am in no way condoning this.If you do this and don't know what your doing, you can damage more than just your cats. It's NOT reccomended, especially if yo have strict emissions laws.Once they're gone, they're gone for good. $$$ .I happen to stumble upon this idea one night while the motor was acting up.I done an induction on it and noticed it had backfired and shot a piece of that honeycomb material out the pipe....I thought....Hmmmmm..(key on/off..then on again at the right timing while driving..in gear .....time it right..POP...Or...BOOOM..hahah! Do it enough and eventually more cat material blows out ..turning pops into Booms. Now it's just ansanely loud.I seen large flashes of light behind my car,and a loud as hell BOOOM.Funny to do when someones ridin your ass.Backs them off RIGHT AWAY).Well anyway the neighbors wont like it,thats for sure. haha.so not on your street. lol

i took the front two off and had the shop tap the o2 sensors into the remaining cats. there isnt a SEL light yet so idk, but i like the sound. i left the Y pipe how it was and it grumbles and you can hear the the popping noise of unburned fuel. I think thats what it is anyway lol
