So I have not been on here in a really long time. Used to have a cobra and a 92 coupe. Anyways I recently picked up a jeep that has a mustang motor in it.

It is setup with the mustang efi and everything came out of a fox bodied car. Here is what I know about the motor.

306 built by kevins I believe in vancouver washington
stock gt40 heads
Stock mustang intake manifold non cobra
22# injectors and maf with a k&n open element. may be 24's previous owner installed.
I believe that the programming on the ecu is stock.

Here is my few questions. Do you think that I ned to run the cobra intake? I think that I am not getting enough air into the motor. It runs really rich all the time. I f I drive it for a while kinda hard then let off, it acts like it is loading up. It is a bit hard to start sometimes.

Is chung still around? I had him and Jeff do some work on the 92 a while back. I am thinking of taking it in this week to get it looked at and maybe get some tuning done, this thing runs strong just think it can run smoother, start better and be a little easier to deal with. Who would you recommend taking it too?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Sean

Sounds like you have a mass air meter issue or inj issue. Changing an intake wont fix that. If it runs rich now it always will. Dont waste your money on an intake. Theres something wrong with it already.
Need to find out, for sure, what injs and maf are installed.

+1 for an issue with injectors, maf and ecu, they all need to match or your ref. tables will be all out of wack
