I was pickin through a local junkyard because no one wants to buy my 2.3, so im gonna do a little something to it..

I came across this hooked up escord, it looked like a race car kinda, but it had a serverely smashed rear and driver side. I looked under the hood, and to my surprise I saw "Cosworth" on the valve cover. I asked the guy what he wanted for it and he said.. "hmm...well.. 2000 if you take the whole car"

So i left him a $300 deposit to hold it for me til sunday.

I guess my question is... should I get it?

I'd buy it, but not for $2000. I'd tack on maybe $500 max. It sounds like it's pretty smashed up.

yea, it had the quad headlights but it had a different set of wheels, and it was turbocharged. I dunno about the wing because the back was crushed. It looked like it was a roll over accident or something. The suspension looked really solid. but yea, it looked to have like 17" wheels and some low pro tires.
but yea, the engine looked like that, but it wasnt that clean. i'll go out there today n take some pictures of it.

Ok now that we've established that it's a Cosworth, I change my vote to "buy it at any cost."

It was placed in the Ford Escorts in Europe. It was a 2.0 l DOHC turbo charged and intercooled four cylinder. It came with 227 hp and im not too sure on the torque but I think it was like 250+. The turbo was a Garrett T35, and it was a four wheel drive car which made it good for ralley races. Plus they were sexy little cars.
