I have new forged superior axles, new carrier, new gears. The splines of the axles are loose in the axle gear. They are not worn down, just loose. You can turn the wheel back and forth and the ring and pinion does not move, but the wheel does. It sounds horrible when taking off.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have that problem too... i thought 'riored' or 'rio something' was talking about wheel bearings a long time ago.

but if it's the axles that are moving, wouldn't that be the c-clips? which hold them in (at least that's what I think holds them in)

the c-clips hold them in but that wouldnt affect the rotation of them....i had the rearend appart several times and i think the axles are just lemons to be honest...it happens...one of them is also 1/8 of an inch longer so i had to shim it out so it wouldnt rub the caliper anymore....
On another note..i just got back from the track launching at 5k rpm and nothing broke so...whatever....if it breaks atleast ill know whats wrong...expensive way but seems like the only way right now

so basically your saying that the splines dont really sit properly? maybe the axles are too thin. did that diff specify a special axle to use?
