I had a little tail pipe mishap with my current exhaust setup so now I have 1 dumped and one tail pipe. reguardless I am ready foir a quieter change. I want a Magnaflow catback but christmas is a bad time to buy mods.

I drive teh car over 100 miles a day and I Think in the mean time I am going to put on a stock catback in the mean time. Not that it matters at all, but I was just curious what everyone thinks I will lose with the stock catback. 10-15 rwhp?
As you all know I have a 300 rwhp heads cam combo with LTs prochamber and the works.

thoughts on the sumbject? Grady? anyone?

Good to see you on here again

I don't remember all the specific details as it has been several years ago but I wanna say it was Mike Hedgepeth or something very close to that name reported he had a stroker 331 or 347 with all supporting mods.

He went from stock cb to an after market cb.

I don't remember the brand but he reported a gain of only about 10rwhp.

That has always made me feel a 302 would pick up less cause it doesn't produce as much air flow thus it would have less restriction

Thanks guys. I would like to pick up some later year mufflers like what is on the mach 1. I suspect they would flow a lil better.

I don't think you'll lose that much. The 2-4 HP may be worth the less noise.

i feel old at 24

I am really just more appreciative of refinement now. I would do magnaflow in a second if i had 400.

You Know What Vibe

That is just about the range of values I have always felt a catback would benefit the typical NA h/c/i combo.
