Thankfully my doors don't lock (on my 90 GT), because I lost my key. All I have to do to start it is get to the ignition harness and touch the two wires together to turn it on, than the two WHITE/PINK or RED/BLUE wires to crank the starter right? My only question, if that is true, is which colors do I touch to turn the car on, not crank it? I cant tell whether it is Ignition 1 or 2 on this site. http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/New Wires/New Wires/Wires/formustang87-94.htm

Please I need to find out by tomorrow morning, I bought a $200 Electric Scooter for a less fortunate child and I can't be late giving it to him. Thanks!

EDIT: I read somewhere that you twist together the Red/Light Green and then touch the Blue one and it will start.

Its a 90 GT, and the wheel isnt locked right now so I shouldnt have to worry about that right? I just wanna make sure this kid gets his scooter.

EDIT: Or will it lock anyways since the ignition wont be turned...i just thought of that.

EDIT2: "Unlock the steering wheel using a flat blade screwdriver
take the screwdriver and placve it at the top center of the steering column.push the screwdriver between the steering wheel and the column.push the locking pin away from the wheel.be very firm when pushing the pin the pin will not break." I found that, don't know what the locking pin looks like though.

here is what i would do: remove the plastic around the steering column.
then locate the small pinhole in the ignition cylinder.
take a drill and small bit and drill the small pin flat.
after doing this the ignition cylinder should pull right out.
finally you can either stick a screwdriver into the slot (and start the car)
or get another cylinder to put in its place and start the car.

this will not work. the piece that yurns on the lock cyl. is ingaged at this point. it only unlocks in the full on position. and why cant you take the 2 torx screws out of the ign. switch and move the switch with a screwdriver? dont cut wires. nothing will helpunlock the wheel or shifter if aod.

and are we telling a theif how to steal a car?

This is true. The lock cylinder will not come out unless in the on position. I would suggest a locksmith to get the old cylinder out, and spend the whole $20 for a new cylinder with key.

When the cylinder lock actuator broke in my car, I went to the pick n pull and spent hours disassembling multiple fox bodies until I found out how the ignition worked and an unbroken piece I needed.

mine went, and the key would not go all the way in. i drilled out the little pin, pulled the steering colum out, brought it over to my drill press, and drilled it out with a 1/2 inch bit until i hit the thing that turns on the end. i pulled the lock cyl. out, then turned that piece and slid it out. it was a pia, but, i saved money. when you have the key, you only need that, and a paperclip to pull one out.
