I lost oil pressure in my 91 lx on my way home from work. pulled over and brought the trailer out and pulled the car the rest of the way home. I checked the dipstick and oil and they are fine. Im guessing Ive either broken the oil pump or the oil pump shaft. What is the easiest way to check and see if they are broken/replace them: loosen the motor mounts, disconnect everything in the way, lift the engine and pull the pan?

Whoa! before you do all that, try inspecting / replacing your oil sending unit. My pressure droped about a month ago and all it ended up being was a faulty sending unit. Did you loose power at all or overheat?

Yeah, that's the first thing I'd check, if you have an aftermarket gauge check the lines and sender. Mine popped off shortly after I installed it (the white plastic line from the gauge to the sender).

So did you find out where your oil pressure went?

Im sure he'll be back.

JK man, its very late and im very tired!

How many miles ya got?

Im guessing your OIL PUMP or and shaft said bye bye.

Time to rip the distributor off to see if the shaft is there and then the pan off to see that damn pump!

yep, I'd be checking the shaft and pump too. your oil pump screen could be clogged up enough to cause the pump to take a dump on ya. have fun.
