when i set my alarm, it sounds like you are honking the horn. 2 of my friends have mustangs, a 99 and an 01, and their alarms are much quieter when they set it. is there any way to keep it quieter when the alarm is set?? -wade

Is it an OEM alarm (I've never seen or heard one on a 94-95, to know what it does)?

The issue would be with having the arm/disarm honk be quiet but yet having it go full bore when the alarm is set off. Shane or one of the gurus might have an idea, but with my knowledge, it'd be a lot easier to do something different.

If the alarm is aftermarket you might be able to program is not arm and disarm silently.

I guess more info would help.

Good luck.

Is it always loud like when it gets off? My advice to you is to put a small resister in line with the alarm leads and see if that satisfies you. Also check how loud the alarm is after.
