loud rockers,any ideas?

i just got done putting my car back together last night with a new used motor and everything was good except it had a little miss and the rockers on the driver side are pretty loud.any ideas? oil pressure is in the middle of normal.

did you make sure to check your pushrod length was good and are you sure you followed the proper procedures for setting the rockers?

wait, is this in your 96 or your 88? Little more information would be nice

assuming your talking about you 5.0? some rockers are noisey, mine are and there shimed properly tourques properly proper rods everything is correct and well there noisey. peace

I had 1.6's and they were never loud. Loud = loose. check your specs and make sure you torqued properly. I am assuming you replaced the rods as well...if not, you need to.

the heads were not off the motor,i put a used longblock in.the motor was in a friends car and he didnt have any problems then it sat for prob a year or two then i got it.only thing done to the heads was tightened down the rockers and thats it.
