Today i heard a mustang pull up two lanes away from me and as it was coming by to the red light i heard the rumble slightly and figured V8 but when I saw it the body style was like a plain V6 not even a GT style hood scoop and dual pipes coming out the back with no bumper cut outs so I figured it was a V6 then it he rev'd not to much but enough to say how the hell does a v6 sound that way?! engine swap is possible but you could kinda tell it didnt sound like a gt at idle but when it rev'd it sounded a the same if not a lil better which may seem impossible by a V6 but my friend driving next to me noticed to so its hard to believe if that was a real V6 engine and if so how would it be that way????

anyone have any working samples of there dual exhaust on there V6 ? ? ?

I have a dual exhaust on my V6, it sounds great.

Maybe he just modded his like crazy to get it to sound that good. Or then again, maybe he just has a really nice exhaust system.

He might have just modded his car to be a sleeper. Some people will do that, change a GT to look like a 6 so that people will challenge them to race. Or when they challenge people to race they will be underestimated because of the looks which may give them a slight advantage. Then again he might have had a heavily modded 4.2 in there also.

my exhaust setup from headers back:
1) two pipes from headers with a cat on each
2) into an H pipe
3) 2 pipes straight back, each with a muffler
4) mufflers to end of pipe

The whole thing looks like an extremely elongated H. It sounds beautiful and I get a similar response, people hear my car and turn. I'm not saying its extreme, but its enough to get your attention.

If you check out mustangexhaust.com they have a list of both single and dual exhaust stangs. At idle the Bassani X pipe sounds nasty! of course it also costs alot, I downloaded a video the other day of a green v6 from jersey with an exhaust that sounds really nice. The only way u can tell it's a v6 is when he revs past 3k
