Just get some JEG'S Exhaust Cutouts "Simply remove 3 wing nuts for race-proven .3 seconds quicker ET's! 16-gauge steel tubing is fully mig welded and includes 3-bolt header flange and gaskets that allow them to be bolted directly to you headers or mounted as a slip fit to your exhaust pipes. Mustang-style Race Readies are a slip fit on any OEM Mustang and most other vehicles with 2.25'' pipes. 1/pkg."

only $26.99

I don't have any but I guess alot of people like them.

I understand that more air= more power- right?
but can too much air be a probem?

what would happen if I decide to make a big hole in my intake like in the red above?

Hot engine air will swarm the filter would be my guess. Not a good thing.

More air does equal more power.. but you're not going to get any more air to make a difference by just cutting a hole.

The engine will suck all the air it needs through the intake, even with the silencer still on. Cutting a bigger hole will just allow it to breathe the same amount of air, a little more easily. However, I wouldn't cut the top, the hot air from the engine and fan wash will be the air getting sucked in from there.
