I just heard your sound clip, and eventhough is sounds good in the clip, it does not do it justice. You have to hear it in person. I have the same set up, and the Borla Stingers sound amasing!

(by the way, very nice car highvolts )

If you are going run your stock mid-pipe, I recommend Borla Stinger cat-back.

I use to run welded 2 chamber Flows with a Bassani off-road x pipe on my 96 GT and loved the mean sound.

But decided to go a different route on my new stang, a bit more expensive, but gotta love that Borla sound, very clean and mean!

By the way, eventualy I want to go to a high flow pipe. Does anyone recommend any x pipe that will sound good with my Borla Stingers?

I listened to you and got it from truckperformance.com. I talked to the guy you suggested; he was real easy to deal with. I got the system for 480 something shipped. I told the salesman what you paid for it 8 months ago, and he then told me that Borla has since raised their prices twice so he couldnt sell it to me for the price you got (425 I believe) I didnt mind paying a little more than what you paid. The place on E Bay that sells it for 450 was the cheapest I found, but I rather not deal with E Bay sellers if I dont have to. I dont think that there is anything wrong with E Bay, just didnt want to deal wit it. I cant wait to get it installed, but Im not looking forward to putting my stock H pipe back on. I am also removing my timing adjuster at the same time. I may also have my underdrive pullies removed, but probably not. All of the sudden there is alot of talk about the UD pullies causing the oil pump gear to fail
I guess on the plus side I am in the process of saving, and am getting pretty close to getting either a new motor with forged parts, P&P'd heads and some cams, or a KB blower. When I am having the car worked on I having them do a compression check on my engine to make sure its in good shape for the blower install if I should go that way. (I just feel like something isnt right with it, but its probably in my head. You know, you get used to the car so it doesnt feel as fast as it once did. And with the work Im having done it really will feel like something is wrong )

Thanks for all the help

X-pipe w. borla stingers

I installed the SLP catted X with my borla stingers and the sound is MEAN and LOUD. The only 'complaint' I have (over stock setup and the catback) is that the combination is always loud.... I have to keep the rpms below 1800 if I want to be 'silent'... so I end up cruising in 5th gear @ 40 mph when I am driving next to a cop car
