If i drive around for a few min then let it idle it will idle fine for about 30 seconds then it will drop to about 550 rpms and it sounds as though it is missing or something. I have cleaned but not replaced the iac, i have changed the spark plugs and pulled the codes. The codes were 22 which is something with the BAP sensor.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Danny

Addressing the BAP sensor cant hurt. It reports ambient air density for A/F trim.

Do you set the warm idle so that the IAC is not needed in order to have a no-load warm idle of whatever you choose (750-900 RPM, etc)?

Good luck.

Im not totally understanding the question...I have set the TB idle screw at one point to about 900 rpms or so. If this is bad or doesnt answer your question let me know.

Thanks for the reply!

Here is some info on setting the idle. One should not just turn the idle set screw to set adjust the idle, as that can affect other sensors and settings.

Good luck.

I'm having a similar problem and was wondering if you set the idle at operating temperature or while the engine is cold?
You can do it either way, but it will work much better if the motor is warm. :rlaugh:

Have the car up to full operating temp (rating of your T-stat is plenty) so it wont stall when you disco the IAC.

Good luck.
