You get a light but you don't get a code.

Edit:
That's [if] there is a path to ground. Removed, you get nothing.

There's no fail-safe that says, "Idiot, you don't have a sensor".

And apparently none to say it the sender is unplugged. So I better check the circuit and get that burning oil smell (after it is parked for a week or two) that is not showing up as a drip found.I expect my Corvair to smell a little like that, but not my 5.0.

I had a Mitsubishi once with the same kind of setup. It ate itself without so much as a peep.

Nope. None for the oil pressure gauge either, although that one is a bit easier to tell if it’s dead.

If it’s dripping, it has oil. It’s when the parking space is clean and dry, that is you have to worry.

You may have a hard time finding a drain plug or any other plug with that size
Just get a sensor if time is of the essence
Wrecking yard is the source five not 60

It’s 20mm 1.5 pitch.

I believe it’s a common subaru oil plug so any parts store will have it. I bought mine at autozone for $5

So does that mean your Mustang will go faster in the snow?
