low profile electric fan

hello, i fitted my taurus fan against my 2 core radiator and the fan motor hits the crank pulley. (i have v belts as i am using parts from a mustang II.) is there a cheap alternate fan i can use to clear this or maybe i can find a smaller crank pulley instead of this 3 belt crank pulley. anybody have any answers.

I don't know what you would consider a cheap alternative, but my ramchargers fan is very low profile. It was about $140 though. Hope this helps

that is pretty small fan, i need the pancake style motor on mine but it is huge. are there any other fans from stock vehicles that are smaller in thickness.

you can trim away the shroud to give you more clearence. have you moved the fan around in various positions and what not? even upside down?

The SPAL's are known for being thin.

Can you flip the fan upside down?
