LOW VACUUM NEW CAM

HI THERE IM WONSERING IF ANY OF U GUYS THAT HAVE HAD THE E303 INSTALLED HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING. HAVE A 93 5.0 AND INSTALLED THE FOLLOWING
.030 OVER, GT-40 HEADS UPPER AND LOWER INTAKES, 1.6 ROLLERS, AND E303 CAM. NOW HOW MUCH VACUUM ARE U GUYS READING? IM READING ABOUT 5 IN HG
AND AT HIGHER RPM I HAVE MORE VACUUM., NO LEAKS AT ALL. IS IT THE CAM?

Try a different gauge or a different vacuum source. You should have more at idle.

nope....see my sig. but im about to change to a cc xe264 for a cam and bore 30 over.

yup thats wayyy too low. I think you may need to check for vac leaks. With my steeda #18 cam i see about 15" at idle...and i think stock 5.0's see about 16-18"

not the gauge

yeah i tryied various but its not the gauge, i think the cam has to do with it....any one running this same set up?

are you sure the rocker arms are adjusted correctly? what's the timing set at? both of those can affect vacuum

yeah

we measured the shim thickness on the pedestal for the rockers. according to the instructions. was about .060. need to double check.
