loweing my 97 cobra

I want to lower my car, and I want to do it right. I dont want to find out that there is play in the steering or waring tires. I just want to lower it to a comfortable position. If anybody can help me with some good options I would appreciate it.

I would suggest some H&R sport springs, maximum motorsports caster/camber plates, and a new set of struts and shocks(bilstein, koni, tokico)
I run H&R super sport springs but it is very close to the ground, probably not what you are looking for ride quality wise.
