Ok I have a 351 and am wonderin what are all the lower intakes that the stock 5.0 upper can bolt down to? I know the GT40 can but its hard to find so was wondering what other options I have if any

The stock 5.0 HO upper has no 351W lower counterpart. However, both Trickflow and Edelbrock have good EFI 302/351W intakes that have interchangeable uppers/lowers. Check out their websites.

Hmm well then I must have been given false information.. Well the intake I want is a trick flow but its over 700 so its gonna have to wait, was hoping to find a temporary to use with the 5.0 upper but i guess ill have to stick with the crappy 351w stock intake for now

A stock 5.0 HO intake would choke a 351 anyway. Hell, it chokes the 302. Yea, save your money, or look for used Trickflow pieces online.

A cheaper option, use the new eddy vic jr efi intake (looks like a carb intake) I think I had 300 bucks in mine w/fuel rails new and then another 80 for the elbow. And It FIT under a stock hood after cutting a 6 inch piece of bracing out. With stock type convertible mounts. Just an option. Car pulled like a raped aped to 7k.

gt40/cobra uppers cannot bolt to a stock lower. It has larger, round, staggered runners as opposed to the smaller, oval, inline runners of the stock intake

ya i know that, but I had a buddy tell me that the stock 5.0 upper plenum would bolt to a 351w gt40 lower intake. So thats what I was asking, but im just gonna save and get the trick flow setup I want

The truck intake is better than the HO intake. Back before the proliferation of intakes for the 5.0 the truck intake was the hot setup. There is even a larger throttle body or two floating around for them. Summit and Jegs have them I believe.

+1

I was actually going to mention this, but its only stuff I've heard or read about, I'm too young yet to really have experienced the truck intake period, haha. Better that you heard it from a senior member.

Ya but the major downfall to the truck intake is that the upper plenum alone must be a foot tall... My 3.5 inch hood ain't even close to clearing. A six inch cowl would probably barely make it if it even could
