Lower intake question

I have a chance to pick up a ported and polished stock lower intake for $75 shipped. Would I benefit in anyway from putting this on my car with the stock non ported upper? would I see any gains or would I see nothing or would it hurt me. I just think its a good deal but wanted to get some info before I bought it. lets hear what you think.

Tmoss sells his ported lowers for $115 i think.....I say go for it, you wont see a huge gain but with more mods it will help.

if the work is good, that is a very good price. Expect 10-20HP depending on mods.
